What you should know about pool maintenance
If you decide to maintain the water chemistry of your pool yourself, you’ll need to:
- Test your water at least 3 times per week; checking the chlorine, alkalinity, and ph of the water
- Vacuum pool once a week or as needed to keep good water clarity
- Empty skimmer bases often to ensure optimal water flow to filter
Alternatively, you can let us handle the majority of pool maintenance items for you! We offer a flat fee for weekly testing, cleaning skimmers, and backwashing your pool filter. Additionally, we’ll vacuum and apply needed chemicals at nominal rates.
Extra steps we take to make your pool last
When we install a new pool, we pour full concrete floors to help ensure durability under your vinyl liner. This also allows us to do customized steps, benches, and sun decks to fit your needs.
Additionally, we backfill with 3ft of pea gravel and recycled concrete (instead of dirt) all the way around the pool. This prevents ground water and settlement issues. We run all flex pipe for underground plumbing. This prevents freeze and thaw from Iowa winters from cracking or bursting pipes.
